A marvelous abstract lithograph titled “Knossos” by Harry Koursaros, edition of 150, signed, dated 1980. 39 x 29 inches. Recently framed in natural wood, matted in 8-ply acid-free conservation board, and glazed with gallery-quality acrylic. Harry Koursaros graduated in 1954 from Albright College, Reading, PA. Koursaros earned his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from The American University in 1956. Koursaros utilizes regular diagonal grids to subdivide his canvases into complex rectilinear patterns. His richly patterned prints can be found in private collections and museums including Neuberger Museum, Purchase, NY; the Birmingham Museum, AL; the New York University Collection, NY; and the Athens Museum of Contemporary Art.
