Paperweight by Caithness Glass, Scotland. A fine millefiori Luckenbooth double heart design by Colin Terris. The Luckenbooth originated in Edinburgh and is a heart-shaped symbol, or two intertwined hearts, sometimes topped with a crown. Quite commonly given as a love token or betrothal gift, it is also believed to have talismanic value for protection against the evil-eye. The Luckenbooth is one of the most romantic Scottish symbols of love. Circa 1960-1970.
