25-063 Bob Berks Copper Kinetic Sculpture 22 x 9

An original kinetic abstract table sculpture by Bob Berks. A single piece of copper cut and twisted. It moves a bit when touched. Most likely a maquette for a larger bronze sculpture. It is an abstract reclining figure, head on the left in my photographs. This piece was acquired directly from his estate. It does come with an authenticity stamp by the estate. It is not signed or dated.

Robert Berks (1922 – 2011) was an American sculptor, industrial designer and planner. Bob was prolific and created numerous sketches, drawings, and paintings; often in service of sculpture and site-planning subjects. He worked for over 50 years in a converted schoolhouse in Orient on the North Fork of Long Island, NY.
