Elio Schiavon (Italian, 1925-2004) was a prolific artisan based in Padua, Italy. He produced tiles, vases, platters and more. Many of his tiles adorn entrances to commercial buildings in Padua. In the 1980s he left the factory Sciavon Ceramische in the hands of his son Luca. This set of tiles depict the streetscape of Venice in the 1950s-1960s. Each tile is 8 x 8 inches. 48 x 16 inches overall. One tile in the lower left has a repair. Signed lower right. Hand painted, glazed porcelain. Can be wall mounted with grout etc. Currently unmounted.
