Description
A flat wide rim and multi-hued cased glass define the geode style from Murano. This fine example is in light yellow gold and cobalt blue and is symmetrical not organic in shape so it most likely is from the 1960s or early 1970s. The term “geode” is quite literal: the art glass resembles a geode mineral sample sliced to reveal the jewel tones inside. Very heavy considering it is only five inches across.
