Made in England for the Japanese market. Sensuous asymmetrical biomorphic shape similar to the Aro bowl by Gunnar Nylund for Rorstrand, Sweden. What’s interesting is that many of the best Scandinavian midcentury modern pieces were in fact made in Japan. In any case this is a contemporary new item marked Wilmax England Fine Porcelain. It is nine inches wide. I just think it is a cool shape.
