Description
An early work by the master color theory expert and painter Josef Albers. This 1940 oil painting on masonite entitled Oscillating (A) was done during his time in Mexico. Clearly the German artist was influenced by the vibrant colors of Mexican aesthetics and environments. Offered here is a 5 × 7 inch offset reproduction of the original painting printed in Germany on fine 100 lb. wove finish lithographic paper by Walther König Press. Framed in black grained MDF wood with a deep inset and a glass face. Overall framed size is 6 × 8. Verso text.
