Description
Superb green, aqua, and blue Mid-Century Modern Murano faceted block art glass in the style of Flavio Poli for Seguso. It’s hard to describe the beautiful way light refracts through this form. It is round in shape with flat sides. The three-color sommerso (submerged) technique layers are most visible at the juncture of the round and the flat surfaces. Marketed as a votive holder, however we display them as sculptures. They would function well as a paper weight, a vase or a trinket holder, too. A gallery favorite when we can find them. This one is slightly larger than usual at 4 × 4 × 5 tall. Unmarked and undated. A few minor scratches, typical on glass from the 1960s, too small to photograph.
