Description
A wonderful candle holder named “Päivänkukka 1409.” It was designed by Helena Tynell in 1971 for Riihimäen Lasi, Finland. It is also referred to as “Dagblomman” or day lily. It came in three sizes. This is the small size at 7 inches (200 mm). It was made both in colored glass and clear glass. This one has a small amount of wax residue inside that I have not been able to clean out (yet). This wax does not detract from the display or function of the piece. It is quite hard to see. This was purchased at an estate sale of a woman who traveled to Finland often and brought back many treasures.
