Description
This artwork is distinctive because of the way the viewer’s eye responds to the pattern. There’s a sense of movement, an awareness of the near-perfect but also not-perfect design. This is an original watercolor painting by Shelter Island artist Leah Peeks on archival paper. It is float-mounted on acid-free board and framed in gray wood with a gallery acrylic face. The painting is 22 x 30 inches and the final frame is 31 x 41 inches. It may be mounted in the horizontal or the vertical orientation. Signed, titled, dated on the verso. The full title is “South Ferry Beach by the Osprey Nest, Looking at Southold.”
