Description
We love the color in this original abstract etching by Susan Gillette entitled “Ureshiki.” The title loosely translates to “happiness” in Japanese. This print is #494/750, about midway through the printing so the plate is nice and sharp. The documentation accompanying this piece says “this exclusive limited edition etching series was printed with silver and bone-black etching ink onto hand-painted Japanese Kozo paper and then chine colled (paper glued to paper) onto 100% cotton Coventry rag white paper.” Signed and dated 2005. Image 5 x 5 inches. Frame is 18 x 18 inches. Gillette trained with Antonio Frasconi, has a master’s degree from School of Visual Arts in NYC, and currently lives in Arizona.
