Description
Morris Rosenfeld was the preeminent yachting photographer of the 20th Century. He captured artistic images that convey the real feeling of large vessel sailing. His son Stanley published a survey of his work in 1958 entitled “The Story of American Yachting Told in Pictures.” It was brought to my attention by Anders Langendal, a local boat builder.
Offered here is a bookplate from the original volume. It is in a black wood frame that measures 13 x 16 inches. Aurora was a K-Class schooner seen here in a race off of Eaton’s Neck Long Island, NY in 1907.
