Description
An undated Op-Art serigraph signed Henry Rogers. This limited edition silkscreen print is in fine condition with bright solid colors and no foxing to the vintage paper its printed on. Circa 1960-1970. Signed and marked 143/200. It measures 16 x 44 inches as framed in matte black aluminum. This work evokes Victor Vasarely—a leader in the Op-Art style.
Rogers was a New Jersey artist who printed this under the supervision of the American surrealist Leo Russell (1917-1985) at his atelier. Russell was a NY/NJ artist and educator beginning his career teaching in the WPA program. He has work in the permanent collection of the Guggenheim.
