Description
After the original 1965 Greenport Theatre Help! The Beatles lobby card. Greenport is on Long Island, New York locally known as the North Fork.
The vintage placards are silkscreen printed in small numbers on heavy card stock. Very few originals remain as they were considered disposable. They are the standard 14 × 22 inch size designed to fit displays that were installed in the theatre, in nearby restaurants, and on exterior walls around town. They were manually replaced whenever the movie changed.
Offered here is a fine art reproduction of the original poster printed on 100% rag archival paper to preserve it for decades to come. This version is 23 × 31 inches overall in a custom modern white wood frame with a 3-inch white 100% rag acid free mat, ready to hang.
Help! The Beatles is the 1965 follow-up to “A Hard Day’s Night.” The Beatles once again offer up a melding of song and slapstick. As John, Paul, George and Ringo travel the globe, they perform a mix of musical numbers, singing hits ranging from “Ticket to Ride” to the titular ditty.
“A Very Special Favor” is the 1965 film about notorious womanizer and oil baron Paul Chadwick (Rock Hudson) who wins a legal case in Paris by charming a female judge.
